They are not allowed to leave a business card until they have shaken the owner's hand. They are not allowed to leave a brochure until they have a meeting with the owner. In my experience, there is no such thing as the perfect brochure (or else they wouldn't need us!). Many times a decision maker will look for reasons in the brochure to give you an unqualified no over the phone. We wait to give print information until we can accompany it with a presentation. This allows your personal connection and salesmanship to be your first impression instead of a brochure. It might lengthen the process a bit, but our close rates are through the roof.
